
(13/5/08) Franki Geotechnics is part of the joint venture responsible for a 210m euro rail tunnel contract in Belgian capital Brussels. (13/5/08) VINCI Construction Grands Projets is the leader of a consortium of construction companies to have signed the design-build contract for a US$3bn causeway between Qatar and Bahrain - which at 40km in length will be the world's longest bridge. (13/5/08) In the UK, Connect Plus, a consortium of Balfour Beatty (40%), Skanska (40%), Atkins (10%) and Egis Projects SA (10%), has been selected from a shortlist of five consortia as the provisional preferred bidder for the PPP contract to provide additional capacity to, and to maintain, London's orbital motorway, the M25. (6/5/08) In Denmark, Aarsleff and Bilfinger Berger have entered into a contract with E.ON Sverige, worth approximately 80m euros, for the construction of foundations for the Rødsand 2 Offshore Wind Farm.
