Skanska denies profit warning rumours

Anonymous emails have, according to Skanska, been spreading "false and misleading information" about the company's impending year-end report, with particular reference to its business in Latin America,
In a bid to avoid speculation, the Swedish-based construction groups has issued a statement noting that it wants to inform the financial market and stakeholders that the information in these emails is incorrect.
Among other things, the emails claims that Skanska will issue a profit warning in the upcoming year-end report and that the company would consider closing down its business unit in Latin America.
"These anonymous statements are incorrect," the company insists. "Skanska is not planning to issue any profit warning and the company has a strong commitment to its business in Latin America."
